I had the amazing opportunity to work with Poetry stores on their festive in-store events in 2018 for their Durban (Gateway), Johannesburg (Menlyn) and Cape Town (Tygervalley) stores. I was doing live illustration and hand lettering, customising holiday cards for customers while they shopped. It was such fun and so great to see people’s reactions and the value it brought to them. Being able to get their holiday cards done while they shopped took at least one thing off their long to-do lists during this busy season, and many were also fascinated to watch my process hand painting their cards in watercolour.
