If you’ve been following me on Instagram you would have noticed I started doing doodle-a-day type projects from December last year. A few months ago things got busy and I stopped and then kind of lost my mojo to get going again… But it’s finally back! Didn’t quite make it to start at the beginning of the month, but there’s no time like NOW, so I just started anyway.
This daily project, #FSpapercuts, is experimental compared to the others which had a clear theme and format for the whole month. It will involve mixed media like cut out paper, watercolour, gouache, hand lettering, pen illustration… and who knows what else! I want to push some of my own boundaries with this and progress it along the way to become something new and interesting at the end. I like raw, handmade styles of creative work as opposed to things that are super clean and polished, so these will carry through that style in keeping with my other illustrations.
